Solid teak, not veneer

The Wave is built from solid teak throughout, including the legs and the shaped front. Most consoles at this size use a teak veneer over MDF, which looks similar until the edge chips or the piece meets a humid Malaysian hallway and the substrate swells.

Solid timber moves with the seasons and can be sanded and refinished decades from now. That’s the whole argument for buying teak.

Built to your hallway

We make the Wave in our own Shah Alam workshop, so length isn’t fixed. If your entryway takes 135 cm and not 120, we build 135. Height and depth can shift too — useful behind a sofa, where matching the backrest height makes the difference between a console that looks placed and one that looks parked.

Custom sizes are quoted the same way as standard ones.

Warranty

Three-year warranty covering structure, joinery, and workmanship. Teak is a natural material — grain, colour variation, and slight movement with humidity are characteristics of solid timber, not defects.

Care

Wipe with a damp cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight, which fades any finish over time. Re-oil or refinish every few years to restore depth — we offer that as a service, and we can refinish teak we didn’t make.
